Kinokuniya Bookstores of Australia is the largest retail bookstore in the Asia Pacific region. Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, we pride ourselves in being the largest bookstore in Australia with expansive space and specialised departments spanning from Comics to Art and Design.

Kinokuniya is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to work in the Stationery Department in our Town Hall store. The successful candidate will be required to work between 14 to 28 hours per week, Exact hours and roster will be discussed during the interview.

The ideal applicant will have some knowledge of Japanese Stationery and at least 1 year of retail experience is preferred.

Essential:

  • Must be able to understand product details/information written in Japanese;
  • Having knowledge of and a strong interest in Stationery items;
  • A detail-oriented/meticulous person;
  • Ability to work well in a team;
  • Excellent people and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Customer Service: face-to-face and through phone and email;
  • Daily housekeeping, pricing and product arrangement/display;
  • Stock management.
