Permanent full-time

 (38 hours per week)

Kinokuniya Bookstores of Australia is the largest retail bookstore in the Asia Pacific region. Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, we stock an extensive collection of manga, graphic novels, art and design books, cookbooks, travel books and children’s literature. Our Chinese books and magazines are sourced from both Taiwan and mainland China and we also offer Japanese magazine subscription services.

Kinokuniya is currently seeking a full-time Store Operations Officer to work from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Customer service
• Handling of cash register – purchase transactions
• Counting of floats and sales
• Training, rostering and supervision of staff
• Data Entry
• Gift-wrapping
• Other ad hoc duties as required

The successful candidates will have:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Cash handling experience
• High level of attention to detail
• At least one year of experience in a supervisory role (preferred)
