Kinokuniya Bookstores of Australia is the largest retail bookstore in the Asia Pacific region. Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, we stock an extensive collection of manga, graphic novels, art and design books, cookbooks, travel books and children’s literature. Our Chinese books and magazines are sourced from both Taiwan and mainland China and we also offer Japanese magazine subscription services.

Kinokuniya is currently seeking a Part-time Cashier to work 10-15 hours per week (there is the potential to pick up additional hours when required).

The key responsibilities of the cashier will include, but not be limited to:

  • Customer service
  • Handling of cash register – purchase transactions
  • Data Entry
  • Gift-wrapping
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

The successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Cash handling experience
  • High level of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work extra hours if required
  • Christmas Retail Experience is highly desired (but not essential)
