The legendary Kino FCBD is back with a vengeance this year – time to get decked out, strapped in, and ready for another epic ride of intergalactic proportions… On Saturday May 6th we’ll be celebrating Free Comic Book Day by giving away FREE COMICS, 20% OFF* all graphic novels & manga for Kino Card Members (10% OFF** for non-members), and getting together a day of fantastic happenings with amazing giveaways & prizes to be won!
Plus, Kino FCBD has gotten so big that this year on May 6th we’ll be opening our doors extra early from 8AM and taking over the Ground Floor of The Galeries! And, we’re extending our SALE to FOUR DAYS! So read on to find out what we’ve got in store for you, and where and when it’s all happening…

If you have not been able to submit or confirm your advance RSVP, please see our staff in store at the Wristband Information Counter during the day on Kino FCBD Saturday 6th May for queue availabilities. We will accommodate you as best we can, should there be any remaining availabilities in the queues.

Our friends from Kapow! and Comic Con-versation are teaming up for the day and will be running interviews and special artist appearances, as well as filming, of course, for the Kapow! Comic Book Show. Be sure to drop by and check it out!

Our ever-popular Cosplay Competition is BACK with big prizes this year from Madman, Supanova Comic-Con & Gaming Expo and SMASH!, as well as the Kinokuniya Cosplay Book, sponsored this year by Jeffries Printing. Just like last year, EVERY ENTRANT this year who wants to will be included in the 2017 Kinokuniya Cosplay Book, which will be available for PRE-ORDER on the day. It’s going to be a crazy beautiful whopper of a day and we hope that everyone has the best time ever!! Now, we know you guys are awesome people, but here are some basic house rules for being truly awesome on the day, and making sure we all have a good time:
- Be prepared and informed – soak up all the info above on the workings of the day, especially the Free Comic Book queue advanced RSVPs
- Follow instructions & directions from staff & volunteers – and don’t be afraid to ask if you have a question!
- Ask before you take photos – we’re all going to be stupidly beautiful on the day, but please do remember to be respectful about photo-taking
- No real weapons please – all’s fun and games until someone loses a limb or gets arrested… let’s keep those cosplay props safe, guys
- Be courteous to your fellow FCBD-goer – we’re all here for the same reasons and to have a good time, so good vibes all around for all please!
