The City in Itself | Rohan Hutchinson

We’re thrilled to welcome photographer Rohan Hutchinson back to our Wedge Gallery with his latest body of work!

‘The City in Itself’ is a body of work that explores the variety of architectural elements that make up a city, in this case, Tokyo.

With Hutchinson’s previous studies being into Japanese Architecture/Design and its Historical and cultural affiliations, he uses this project as a departure point to take on a new personal perspective, one that closely inspects the social and economic framework of the city.

In turn ‘The City in Itself’ shows Tokyo on a new perspective, one that breaks away from the stigma often depicted with a major metropolis, showcasing that even in one of the densest populated cities in the world there is still space for contemplation.

‘The City in Itself’ opens from 18th – 31st October.
